Clydesdale
The Clydesdale is a large draft horse breed known for its strength and gentle temperament. Originating in Scotland, these horses were initially used for heavy farm work and pulling carts. They are easily recognized by their impressive size, often standing 16 to 18 hands tall, and their distinctive feathering on the lower legs.
Clydesdales typically have a bay coat with white markings, including a blaze on the face and white socks on their legs. They are also known for their high-stepping gait and are often associated with the Anheuser-Busch beer brand, which features them in its advertising.
