Cloud Peak Wilderness
Cloud Peak Wilderness is a protected area located in the Bighorn National Forest of Wyoming. It covers approximately 189,000 acres and features stunning landscapes, including rugged mountains, alpine lakes, and diverse wildlife. The area is named after Cloud Peak, the highest mountain in the Bighorn Range, which rises to 13,167 feet.
Established in 1984, the wilderness area offers numerous recreational opportunities such as hiking, camping, and fishing. Visitors can explore over 200 miles of trails, including routes that lead to breathtaking views and serene natural settings. The wilderness is home to various species, including elk, moose, and bighorn sheep.
