Cloud Gate
Cloud Gate, often referred to as "The Bean," is a large public sculpture located in Millennium Park in Chicago. Designed by artist Anish Kapoor, it was unveiled in 2004 and is made of polished stainless steel, reflecting the city's skyline and surroundings. The sculpture measures 33 feet high, 42 feet long, and 66 feet wide, making it an iconic landmark.
The design of Cloud Gate is inspired by liquid mercury, creating a seamless, mirror-like surface. Visitors are encouraged to walk around and underneath the sculpture, where they can experience unique reflections and distorted views of themselves and the city.
