Clothes Iron
A clothes iron is a household appliance used to remove wrinkles from fabric. It works by heating a flat metal plate, known as the soleplate, which is pressed against the wrinkled material. Most irons have adjustable temperature settings to accommodate different types of fabric, such as cotton, silk, or polyester.
Many modern clothes irons also feature steam functions, which release moisture to help relax the fibers in the fabric. This makes it easier to achieve a smooth finish. Some irons come with additional features like automatic shut-off for safety and non-stick coatings for easier gliding over clothes.
