Clones
Clones are organisms that are genetically identical to another organism. This can occur naturally, as in the case of identical twins, or artificially through scientific methods. In laboratories, scientists can create clones by using a technique called somatic cell nuclear transfer, where the nucleus of a donor cell is inserted into an egg cell that has had its nucleus removed.
Cloning is used in various fields, including agriculture and medicine. For example, farmers may clone plants to produce crops with desirable traits, while researchers study cloning to understand genetic diseases and develop potential treatments. Cloning raises ethical questions, particularly regarding the cloning of animals and humans.
