Clicks (Sound)
Clicks are sharp, short sounds produced by quickly closing or opening a small space, often created by the tongue or other body parts. They are commonly associated with certain languages, such as Xhosa and Zulu, where they serve as consonants in speech.
In addition to human communication, clicks can be found in nature, particularly among some species of dolphins and whales, which use them for echolocation and social interaction. These sounds can vary in pitch and duration, making them versatile tools for both communication and navigation.
