Claw Toe
Claw toe is a foot condition characterized by an abnormal bending of the toes, where the middle joint bends downward and the toe curls up. This can affect one or more toes and is often caused by muscle imbalances, nerve damage, or wearing ill-fitting shoes.
Symptoms of claw toe may include pain, discomfort, and difficulty walking. The condition can lead to corns or calluses on the tops of the toes or the balls of the feet. Treatment options include stretching exercises, orthotic devices, and in severe cases, surgery to correct the toe's position.
