Class Action Lawsuits
A class action lawsuit is a legal case where a group of people collectively brings a claim to court. This group, known as a class, typically shares similar grievances against a defendant, such as a company or organization. By joining together, individuals can pool their resources and increase their chances of a successful outcome, as well as make the legal process more efficient.
In a class action, one or more representatives act on behalf of the entire class. If the court rules in favor of the class, any compensation awarded is distributed among the members. This type of lawsuit is often used in cases involving consumer rights, product liability, or discrimination.
