Clarks Hill Lake
Clarks Hill Lake is a large reservoir located on the Savannah River, straddling the border between Georgia and South Carolina. Created in the 1940s by the construction of the J. Strom Thurmond Dam, it covers approximately 71,000 acres and features over 1,200 miles of shoreline. The lake serves various purposes, including flood control, hydroelectric power generation, and recreational activities.
