Citizen Band
Citizen Band (CB) refers to a system of short-distance radio communications that allows individuals to communicate with each other using designated radio frequencies. It operates on 40 channels within the 27 MHz band and is commonly used by truck drivers, hobbyists, and outdoor enthusiasts for personal and business communication. CB radios do not require a license, making them accessible to the general public.
The use of CB radios became popular in the 1970s, especially among truckers who relied on them for coordinating travel and sharing information about road conditions. Today, while less common due to the rise of mobile phones, CB radios still hold a nostalgic appeal and are used in various communities for local communication.
