Chutia language
The Chutia language is a Tibeto-Burman language spoken primarily by the Chutia people in the northeastern region of India, particularly in the state of Assam. It is part of the larger Sino-Tibetan language family and has its own unique phonetic and grammatical features. The language is an important aspect of the Chutia community's cultural identity.
Efforts are being made to preserve and promote the Chutia language, as it faces challenges from dominant languages in the region, such as Assamese and Bodo. Language revitalization initiatives include educational programs and community workshops aimed at encouraging younger generations to learn and use Chutia in daily life.
