Chukwu (God)
Chukwu is the supreme deity in the traditional beliefs of the Igbo people of Nigeria. He is considered the creator of the universe and is associated with light, life, and goodness. Chukwu is often depicted as a powerful and benevolent force, overseeing all aspects of existence and ensuring balance in the world.
In Igbo cosmology, Chukwu is believed to have created lesser gods and spirits, known as Alusi, who govern various aspects of life and nature. Worship of Chukwu involves rituals, prayers, and offerings, reflecting the deep spiritual connection the Igbo have with their creator and the natural world.
