Christian X of Denmark
Christian X of Denmark was born on September 26, 1870, and became the King of Denmark in 1912. He was a member of the House of Glücksburg and is known for his strong nationalistic sentiments during his reign. Christian X played a significant role during World War I, maintaining Denmark's neutrality while promoting Danish culture and identity.
He is also remembered for his symbolic leadership during the German occupation of Denmark in World War II. Christian X famously rode through the streets of Copenhagen on horseback, which became a symbol of Danish resistance. He reigned until his death on April 20, 1947.
