Chris Cassidy is a retired NASA astronaut and a former United States Navy SEAL. He was born on January 4, 1970, in Salem, Massachusetts. Cassidy earned a Bachelor of Science degree in Mathematics from the United States Naval Academy and a Master of Science in Ocean Engineering from MIT.
