Children of Lir
The "Children of Lir" is a famous Irish myth about the tragic fate of the four children of Lir, a powerful king. After their mother dies, their stepmother, Aoife, becomes jealous and transforms them into swans. They are cursed to live as swans for 900 years, enduring various hardships and challenges.
Throughout their long existence, the children experience the changing landscapes of Ireland and witness significant events in history. Eventually, they are freed from the curse when they hear the sound of a church bell, which transforms them back into humans. However, they find that they have aged significantly and their family is gone.
