Childhood and Adolescence
Childhood is the stage of human development that begins at birth and lasts until around the age of 12. During this time, children experience rapid physical, emotional, and cognitive growth. They learn basic skills such as walking, talking, and socializing, often through play and interaction with family and peers.
Adolescence follows childhood, typically starting around age 13 and continuing into the late teens. This period is marked by significant changes, including puberty, which brings physical and hormonal changes. Adolescents develop a stronger sense of identity and independence, often exploring new interests and forming deeper relationships with friends and family.
