Chess Pieces
Chess is played with 16 pieces for each player, consisting of one king, one queen, two rooks, two knights, two bishops, and eight pawns. Each piece has its own unique way of moving on the chessboard. The king moves one square in any direction, while the queen can move any number of squares in any direction.
The rook moves in straight lines, either horizontally or vertically, and the bishop moves diagonally. The knight has a unique L-shaped move, jumping over other pieces. Pawns move forward one square but capture diagonally, and they can move two squares forward on their first move.
