Checkmate
Checkmate is a term used in the game of chess to indicate that a player's king is in a position to be captured and cannot escape. When a player's king is checkmated, the game ends, and that player loses. The objective of chess is to strategically move pieces to control the board and ultimately checkmate the opponent's king.
In a chess game, players take turns moving their pieces, which include pawns, knights, bishops, rooks, queens, and kings. Each piece has its own unique way of moving. Achieving checkmate requires skillful planning and foresight, as players must anticipate their opponent's moves while executing their own strategy.
