Chas Chandler
Chas Chandler was an English musician and record producer, best known as the bassist for the rock band The Animals. Born on December 18, 1938, in Newcastle upon Tyne, he played a significant role in the band's success during the 1960s, contributing to hits like "House of the Rising Sun."
After leaving The Animals, Chandler became a prominent music producer, famously discovering and managing the legendary guitarist Jimi Hendrix. He helped shape Hendrix's early career and produced his iconic debut album, "Are You Experienced," which solidified Hendrix's status as a rock icon. Chandler passed away on July 17, 1996.
