Charm and Strange Quarks
Charm and strange quarks are two types of elementary particles known as quarks, which are fundamental building blocks of matter. Quarks combine to form protons and neutrons, the components of atomic nuclei. Each quark has a specific "flavor," and charm and strange quarks are part of the six flavors that also include up, down, top, and bottom quarks.
Charm quarks have a positive electric charge of +2/3, while strange quarks have a charge of -1/3. These quarks are essential in the study of particle physics and contribute to the properties of hadrons, which are particles made of quarks, such as mesons and baryons.
