Charlotte Zolotow
Charlotte Zolotow was an American author and editor, best known for her contributions to children's literature. Born on June 26, 1915, in Milwaukee, Wisconsin, she wrote over 40 books, many of which have become classics. Her storytelling often focused on themes of childhood, family, and emotions, making her work relatable to young readers.
Zolotow began her career as an editor at Harper & Row and later became a prominent figure in children's publishing. She received numerous awards for her writing, including the Laura Ingalls Wilder Medal for her lifetime contributions to children's literature. Zolotow passed away on November 19, 2013.
