Charles Lennox, 5th Duke of Richmond
Charles Lennox, 5th Duke of Richmond (1791-1860), was a British nobleman and politician. He was the son of Charles Lennox, 4th Duke of Richmond and inherited the title in 1819. The Duke was known for his involvement in local governance and served as a Member of Parliament for Chichester.
Richmond was also a prominent figure in the military, holding the rank of Major-General in the British Army. He was an advocate for agricultural improvements and supported various social reforms during his lifetime, contributing to the development of the Richmond Park area in London.
