Charles Francis Adams
Charles Francis Adams was an American politician and diplomat, born on August 18, 1807. He was the son of President John Quincy Adams and the grandson of President John Adams, making him part of a prominent political family. Adams served in the U.S. House of Representatives from 1859 to 1861 and was a strong advocate for the abolition of slavery.
