Charles Alderton
Charles Alderton was an American pharmacist best known for creating the popular soft drink, Dr Pepper. He developed the beverage in the 1880s while working at a drugstore in Waco, Texas. Alderton's unique blend of flavors quickly gained popularity among customers, leading to its commercial production.
In 1891, Alderton's drink was officially named Dr Pepper by the drugstore owner, Charles Alderton. The drink was marketed as a refreshing tonic and became one of the first carbonated soft drinks in the United States. Today, Dr Pepper is enjoyed worldwide and remains a significant part of American beverage culture.
