Charibert I
Charibert I was a Merovingian king who ruled over part of the Frankish kingdom during the 6th century. He was born around 520 AD and was the son of Clovis I and Clotilde. Charibert I governed the region of Aquitaine and is known for his efforts to promote Christianity in his realm.
His reign lasted until his death in 567 AD. Charibert I's rule was marked by internal family conflicts, particularly with his brothers, as the Merovingian dynasty often faced struggles for power. After his death, his kingdom was divided among his siblings, continuing the tradition of partitioning lands among heirs.
