Channel Swimming
Channel swimming is the act of swimming across a body of water, often between two land masses. One of the most famous examples is the English Channel, which separates England from France. Swimmers typically train extensively to prepare for the cold water, strong currents, and long distances involved in such swims.
Swimmers may choose to swim solo or as part of a relay team. To ensure safety, they are usually accompanied by a support boat that provides guidance and supplies. Channel swimming is recognized as a challenging endurance sport, attracting participants from around the world.
