Champa Kingdom
The Champa Kingdom was a historical state located in what is now central and southern Vietnam. It existed from around the 2nd century to the 19th century and was known for its rich culture and trade. The kingdom was influenced by Indian culture, adopting Hinduism and Buddhism, which shaped its art, architecture, and social structure.
Champa was composed of several city-states, with My Son being one of the most significant archaeological sites. The kingdom thrived on maritime trade, exporting goods like spices and textiles. Over time, it faced invasions from neighboring states, particularly the Vietnamese, leading to its eventual decline and assimilation.
