Chakravyuha
Chakravyuha is a complex military formation described in ancient Indian texts, particularly in the Mahabharata. It resembles a spiral or circular arrangement of soldiers, designed to trap and confuse the enemy. The formation consists of multiple layers, with each layer having soldiers positioned strategically to defend against attacks from all sides.
In the Mahabharata, the formation is famously used during the Kurukshetra War. The warrior Abhimanyu learns how to penetrate the Chakravyuha but is unaware of how to exit it, leading to his tragic fate. This highlights the formation's effectiveness and the challenges faced by those who encounter it in battle.
