Chaitra Navratri
Chaitra Navratri is a nine-night Hindu festival celebrated in the month of Chaitra, which usually falls in March or April. It honors the goddess Durga and her nine forms, known as the Navadurga. Devotees observe fasting, perform rituals, and engage in cultural activities to seek blessings for health, prosperity, and spiritual growth.
During these nine days, each day is dedicated to a specific form of Durga, such as Shailaputri and Brahmacharini. The festival culminates in the celebration of Ram Navami, marking the birth of Lord Rama. Chaitra Navratri is a time for devotion, reflection, and community gatherings.
