Certification Marks
A Certification Mark is a type of trademark that indicates a product or service meets certain standards set by an organization. These marks are used to assure consumers that the goods or services have been tested and verified for quality, safety, or other specific criteria. Examples include the UL Mark for electrical safety and the Fair Trade Certified label for ethically sourced products.
Unlike regular trademarks, which identify the source of goods, certification marks do not indicate who made the product. Instead, they signify that the product has been certified by a third party, ensuring it meets the established standards for that category.
