Cephalopod Nervous System
The cephalopod nervous system is highly developed and complex, making it one of the most advanced among invertebrates. It features a large brain relative to body size, which is encased in a cartilaginous structure. This brain is capable of processing information quickly, allowing for sophisticated behaviors such as problem-solving and learning.
In addition to the central brain, cephalopods have a decentralized nervous system with large ganglia located in their arms. This allows each arm to operate semi-independently, enabling precise movements and coordination. The combination of a central brain and arm ganglia contributes to their remarkable agility and adaptability in various environments.
