Center-Backs
A center-back is a defensive player in soccer whose primary role is to protect their team's goal. Positioned centrally in the defense, center-backs are responsible for blocking opposing attackers, winning aerial duels, and clearing the ball from dangerous areas. They often work in pairs to maintain a strong defensive line.
In addition to their defensive duties, center-backs are also involved in building up play from the back. They may pass the ball to midfielders or initiate attacks by distributing it to wingers. Strong communication and positioning skills are essential for center-backs to effectively coordinate with their teammates and maintain defensive organization.
