Census-Designated Places
Census-Designated Places (CDPs) are areas identified by the United States Census Bureau for statistical purposes. They are not incorporated cities or towns but are recognized for data collection and analysis. CDPs can include communities, neighborhoods, or unincorporated areas that have a concentrated population.
CDPs help provide a clearer picture of population distribution and demographics in regions without formal municipal boundaries. They are used in census data to report information about residents, housing, and economic factors, aiding in government planning and resource allocation.
