Celestial Poles
The celestial poles are the points in the sky that align with the Earth's rotational axis. There are two celestial poles: the North Celestial Pole and the South Celestial Pole. These points are directly above the Earth's North and South Poles, respectively, and serve as reference points for celestial navigation and astronomy.
At the North Celestial Pole, you can find the star Polaris, also known as the North Star, which is a key navigational star in the Northern Hemisphere. The celestial poles help astronomers understand the movement of stars and constellations, as they appear to rotate around these points due to the Earth's rotation.
