Caucasian race
The term "Caucasian race" traditionally refers to a group of people characterized by certain physical features, such as lighter skin tones, straight or wavy hair, and a variety of eye colors. This classification is often associated with populations from Europe, parts of the Middle East, and North Africa. The concept originated in the 18th century and was based on the belief that these groups shared common ancestry.
In modern anthropology and genetics, the classification of races, including the Caucasian race, is considered overly simplistic and not scientifically valid. Genetic studies show that human variation is continuous and does not fit neatly into distinct racial categories. Today, many scholars advocate for understanding human diversity through a more nuanced lens that considers cultural, social, and historical factors.
