Catholic Bishops
Catholic Bishops are senior leaders within the Roman Catholic Church who oversee a specific geographical area known as a diocese. They are responsible for guiding the spiritual and administrative aspects of the Church, including the celebration of sacraments, teaching doctrine, and ensuring the welfare of their congregations. Bishops are appointed by the Pope and are often involved in broader Church governance.
Each bishop is part of a larger hierarchy that includes archbishops, who oversee multiple dioceses, and the Cardinals, who advise the Pope. Bishops also participate in regional and national conferences to address issues affecting the Church and society.
