Cataratas do Iguaçu
The Cataratas do Iguaçu, or Iguazu Falls, are a stunning series of waterfalls located on the border between Brazil and Argentina. They are one of the largest waterfall systems in the world, consisting of approximately 275 individual falls along the Iguazu River. The falls stretch nearly 2 miles and are surrounded by lush rainforest, making them a UNESCO World Heritage site.
Visitors can explore the falls through various trails and viewing platforms, offering breathtaking views of the cascading water. The most famous section is the Garganta do Diabo, or Devil's Throat, which is a U-shaped chasm that plunges 262 feet. The area is also home to diverse wildlife, including colorful birds and unique plant species.
