CatalunyaCaixa
CatalunyaCaixa was a Spanish savings bank based in Catalonia. It was formed in 2010 through the merger of several smaller savings banks, including Caixa Catalunya, Caixa Tarragona, and Caixa Manresa. The bank offered a range of financial services, including savings accounts, loans, and investment products, primarily serving customers in the Catalonia region.
In 2014, CatalunyaCaixa was acquired by BBVA, a major global financial institution. Following the acquisition, the brand was gradually phased out, and its operations were integrated into BBVA's broader banking services. This transition marked the end of CatalunyaCaixa as an independent entity.
