Catalhoyuk
Çatalhöyük is an ancient settlement located in present-day Turkey, dating back to around 7500 BCE. It is one of the earliest known urban centers, characterized by its unique mud-brick houses that were built closely together, often with no streets in between. Residents accessed their homes through the roofs, which also served as communal spaces.
The site provides valuable insights into early human life, including social organization, agriculture, and art. Excavations have revealed numerous artifacts, such as pottery and wall paintings, which reflect the culture and daily activities of its inhabitants. Çatalhöyük is recognized as a UNESCO World Heritage Site.
