Cat7
Cat7, or Category 7, is a type of Ethernet cable designed for high-speed data transmission. It supports frequencies of up to 600 MHz and can transmit data at speeds of 10 Gbps over distances of up to 100 meters. This makes it suitable for data centers and high-performance networking environments.
The Cat7 cable features shielding for each pair of wires, which helps reduce interference and crosstalk. It is backward compatible with earlier categories like Cat5e and Cat6, allowing for flexible upgrades in existing network infrastructures.
