Carolyn Davidson
Carolyn Davidson is an American graphic designer best known for creating the iconic Nike Swoosh logo in 1971. She was a student at Portland State University when she was approached by Phil Knight, one of the co-founders of Nike, to design a logo for his new athletic shoe company.
Davidson was paid $35 for her work, but later received stock options that significantly increased in value as Nike grew. Her design has become one of the most recognized logos in the world, symbolizing speed, movement, and athleticism.
