Carl Lumholtz
Carl Lumholtz was a Norwegian explorer and ethnographer, born on July 16, 1851. He is best known for his extensive travels in Australia and Mexico, where he studied indigenous cultures and documented their customs and lifestyles. His work contributed significantly to the understanding of these societies during the late 19th and early 20th centuries.
Lumholtz published several books based on his findings, including "Among Cannibals" and "The Monuments of the Mexican Valley." His research often focused on the Tarahumara people in Mexico and the unique wildlife of Australia. Lumholtz passed away on April 20, 1922, leaving a lasting legacy in the field of anthropology.
