Carl Boberg
Carl Boberg was a Swedish poet and songwriter, best known for writing the hymn "How Great Thou Art" in 1885. His original poem, titled "O Store Gud," was inspired by a walk in the countryside and reflects his awe of nature and faith.
The hymn gained international popularity after being translated into various languages, including English. It was notably popularized by George Beverly Shea and Billy Graham during the mid-20th century, becoming a staple in many Christian worship services around the world.
