Care Quality Commission
The Care Quality Commission (CQC) is an independent regulator in England responsible for monitoring, inspecting, and regulating health and social care services. Its main goal is to ensure that these services provide safe, effective, compassionate, and high-quality care to patients and service users.
The CQC conducts regular inspections of hospitals, care homes, and other health facilities, assessing their performance against established standards. It also collects feedback from patients and the public to inform its evaluations, helping to improve care quality across the National Health Service (NHS) and private sectors.
