Cardinal Seán O'Malley
Cardinal Seán O'Malley is an American Roman Catholic bishop, born on June 29, 1944, in Lakewood, Ohio. He was appointed the Archbishop of Boston in 2003 and became a cardinal in 2006. O'Malley is known for his pastoral approach and commitment to social justice, as well as his efforts in addressing the Catholic Church sexual abuse crisis.
Before his role in Boston, O'Malley served as the bishop of Palm Beach, Florida, and Fall River, Massachusetts. He is a member of the Order of Friars Minor Capuchin, a religious order within the Catholic Church, and has been involved in various charitable initiatives throughout his ministry.
