Cardinal Points
Cardinal points are the four main directions on a compass: North, East, South, and West. These points help people navigate and understand their orientation in relation to the Earth's surface. Each cardinal point is separated by 90 degrees, forming a circle that can be divided into smaller sections for more precise navigation.
In addition to the primary cardinal points, there are also intermediate directions, such as Northeast, Southeast, Southwest, and Northwest. These points provide more specific guidance and are useful for detailed navigation, whether in geography, cartography, or everyday travel.
