Cardinal Bird
The Cardinal Bird, known scientifically as the Northern Cardinal, is a medium-sized songbird native to North America. Males are easily recognized by their bright red plumage and distinctive crest, while females are a more subdued brown with reddish tinges. They are often found in gardens, woodlands, and shrubby areas, where they feed on seeds, fruits, and insects.
Cardinals are known for their beautiful songs, which they use to communicate with each other. They are non-migratory birds, meaning they stay in their habitats year-round. The Northern Cardinal is also the state bird of several U.S. states, including Illinois and Ohio.
