Cardiac Chambers
The heart consists of four main sections known as cardiac chambers. These chambers include two upper chambers called atria and two lower chambers called ventricles. The right atrium receives deoxygenated blood from the body, while the left atrium receives oxygenated blood from the lungs.
The right ventricle pumps deoxygenated blood to the lungs for oxygenation, and the left ventricle pumps oxygen-rich blood to the rest of the body. Each chamber plays a crucial role in maintaining proper blood circulation and ensuring that oxygen and nutrients are delivered to tissues throughout the body.
