Capilano Suspension Bridge
The Capilano Suspension Bridge is a popular tourist attraction located in Vancouver, Canada. Spanning 137 meters (450 feet) across the Capilano River, the bridge is suspended 70 meters (230 feet) above the water. It offers stunning views of the surrounding forest and is part of the Capilano Suspension Bridge Park, which features various walking trails and educational exhibits about the local ecosystem.
Constructed in 1889, the bridge was originally made of hemp ropes and wooden planks. Today, it is built with steel cables and wooden decking, ensuring safety for visitors. The park also includes the Treetops Adventure, a series of elevated walkways that allow guests to explore the forest canopy.
