Cape St. Francis Lighthouse
The Cape St. Francis Lighthouse is located on the eastern coast of South Africa, near the town of St. Francis Bay. Built in 1878, it stands 27 meters tall and is one of the oldest lighthouses in the region. The lighthouse was constructed to guide ships safely along the treacherous coastline, known for its rocky shores and strong currents.
The lighthouse features a distinctive white and red striped design, making it easily recognizable. It is part of the Cape St. Francis Nature Reserve, which offers beautiful coastal scenery and diverse wildlife. Visitors can explore the area and enjoy stunning views of the Indian Ocean.
